A focus on Adam Moghadas in his role as a White Ribbon ambassador
One of the partners here at Cambridge Family Law Practice – Adam Moghadas – has been selected as one of 16 special ambassadors for domestic abuse charity White Ribbon UK.
Adam is also a mediator and practitioner of collaborative law.
White Ribbon UK is dedicated to “engaging men and boys to prevent violence against women and girls”. It focuses on challenging harmful gender norms, sexism, and misogyny, encouraging men to recognise and challenge abusive behaviour by others, and foster respectful relationships.
The charity’s annual White Ribbon Day attracts high profile supporters and national media attention. The 2025 event features 16 specially selected ambassadors keen to promote the charity’s message that:
“Letting sexism slide puts women and girls at risk. Sexist jokes, catcalling, staring, and comments might seem harmless, but they are serious because they can lead to violence and abuse.”
The charity is highlighting each special ambassador in a series entitled ‘16 days of activism’, which began on White Ribbon Day itself (November 25). Each daily spotlight features a photograph of the ambassador taken by award-winning portrait photographer Claudia Janke, along with a video explaining the participant’s background and interest in the urgent issue of ending abuse against women and girls.
Adam has been interviewed by BBC South East and also featured on BBC Look East. He said:
“Being a White Ribbon Ambassador is very important to me. This charity provides a platform to act as a visible role model, demonstrating that preventing gender-based abuse is a collective, proactive responsibility—particularly among men and boys. People are more likely to challenge harmful behaviours and adopt prevention practices when someone they know models them consistently. I want to normalise respect, consent, and equality.”
Adam is keen to encourage others to become White Ribbon Ambassadors and take a stand on the issue, speaking up to “create a world where everyone is safe, equal and respected.”
