Parents who do not live together sometimes find it difficult to agree where and with whom the children should live, how often and in what way they should see the parent they do not live with, or matters relating to schooling, travelling abroad or medical treatment. This is by no means an exclusive list. We are knowledgeable, respectful and experienced in dealing with all kinds of parenting disputes.

We understand the effect on the children of family disagreements, and the importance of minimising any negative impact for their long-term well-being. We work with you to put your children’s needs first, whether the issue is financial or practical.

We have extensive experience of surrogacy and assisted conception matters, and work with all forms of family structure.

We regret that we cannot undertake cases that exclusively concern public law (care) proceedings.

Disputes relating to parenting or children’s arrangements can be discussed in mediation, in the collaborative law process, or using traditional solicitor-to-solicitor negotiation techniques and court proceedings if necessary. Our partner Simon Bethel is a specialist arbitrator in children’s matters.
