The government has announced a package of additional legal aid funding for victims of domestic abuse.
The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 received Royal Assent last year and is currently being implemented in stages. The government plans to introduce two measures – domestic abuse protection notices and domestic abuse protection orders – via a pilot scheme in 2023.
